Children/Young Adults

I believe to work effectively with young adults and children a flexible approach is required, to create rapport and partnership within each session. I incorporate creative therapy alongside counselling skills  to open up a safe space, in which issues can be explored. As a parent, you’re also able to access specific evidence-based programs such as Macquarie University’s anxiety management program for your child or teenager. When delivered one-on-one, I’m able to tailor the program to your child’s needs and provide therapeutic interventions they’ll respond to. Some young clients prefer psycho-education about emotions; others feel more comfortable with a creative approach. Counselling support allows children and young adults to feel heard, understood and above all, equipped to face the future.
