The Benefits of Counselling

Counselling allows us to be seen and heard. As individuals we will respond to different psychological approaches eg: narrative therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, psycho-education or creative therapy. My role is to create a partnership approach with you.

For younger clients, there is the opportunity to talk about the challenges they face with an impartial third party, able to offer a new perspective and guidance. Some children have never experienced therapy or counselling before; it’s critical that a range of interventions are available to suit their temperament

Therapy focuses on improving people’s capacity to cope with life challenges. Working at the client’s pace. People seek counselling support to resolve crises, for parenting support, to reduce their stress, tackle relationship, family or work issues or make changes.

It’s common for people to come for counselling because they “feel stuck”, with no clear plan of what changes they’d like to make. Counselling creates space to reflect on the current situation. If you have any questions then call 0422 927 022  for a confidential, initial assessment.
